There’s nothing Meghan Izzo loves more than getting outside in every season. This is her second year as a Yukon Charlie's Ambassador and she couldn't be happier to explore, create, and inspire with you all again! Too many people hide away in the winter season instead of embracing it! Meghan hopes to show others that the outdoors are accessible throughout the entire year. Still relatively new to snowshoeing, she’s hunting for her favorite snowshoeing trail. Last year she explored the Hudson Valley, Catskills Region, and Adirondacks in her home state of New York. This year she hopes to explore some larger trails in California and Colorado.

I’m a 26-year-old outdoor enthusiast with a love for all things winter. Living in Long Island, NY provides a unique though sometimes inconsistent environment for adventure. I’ve been snowboarding and skiing for 15 years and bringing a pair of snowshoes opens up a whole new world of opportunities in adventure. You’ll find me trekking all over the northeast whether it’s to earn some turns or just take in some views. There’s always time to adventure you just have to make the opportunities happen!

Running is my passion, so when we moved up to ND it was clear my outdoor running season would be cut short due to the brutal winters. Being an active person and having to stay inside? Not good. So a few years back I put running snowshoes on my Christmas list and it seriously opened up a whole new winter world for me. Instant addiction! I am also a new ultra marathoner and hope to tackle another next year, so winter training is a must! Other facts? I am a PT by trade, love to travel with my husband, friends and family all with our two dogs in tow. We hope to hit up Utah, Nevada, and the Colorado mountains for some adventures this winter!!!
