Key West International Airport is among the first airports in the United States with an ultraviolet disinfection robot!
It emits high-intensity ultraviolet light to remove harmful pathogens in the air and on surfaces, enhancing the airport’s cleanliness and passenger protection practices to safeguard against the coronavirus.
This very special robot deserves a name!
Twelve (12) "Name the Robot!" finalists are to be randomly selected from 1,000 entries; individual judges from Key West International Airport and other Florida Keys officials are to choose a winning name from finalists.
If your robot name is chosen, you could win a three-night stay in Key West for two!
Prize includes two roundtrip air certificates with JetBlue Airways; three (3) nights' lodging for two at The Gates Hotel Key West, two (2) passes to four Historic Tours of America attractions including Truman Little White House, Key West Aquarium, Key West Shipwreck Treasures Museum and Conch Tour Train; two (2) passes to Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory; and two (2) tickets for a sunset sail with Sebago Watersports.
As a reminder for Florida Keys visitors, coronavirus safety protocols are in effect. Facial coverings are to be worn in businesses, and outdoors when social distancing of six feet or more is not possible. In the city of Key West, masks must be worn in indoor and outdoor areas.
