Yep!

Mr. Nadler was traveling across the English Channel on his way to Utah Beach. During the Normandy Invasion, often referred to as D-Day, Nadler dropped his lighter in the sand, and it was presumed gone for good.

Nearly 50 years later, Mr. Nadler's lighter mysteriously turned up in a drawer at the Zippo offices and prompted a search to find its owner.

Unfortunately, Mr. Nadler had passed before Zippo was able to reunite him with his lost lighter. Today, it is displayed in his honor at the Zippo/Case Museum in Bradford, PA.
