Julia Claiborne Johnson is the author of the bestselling Be Frank with Me, a finalist for the American Bookseller’s Association Best Debut Novel Award. She grew up on a farm in Tennessee before moving to New York City, where she worked at Mademoiselle and Glamour magazines. She now lives in Los Angeles with her comedy-writer husband and their two children.

Steven Rowley is the bestselling author of Lily and the Octopus, a Washington Post Notable Book of 2016 and The Editor, named by NPR and Esquire Magazine as one of the Best Books of 2019, and by O Magazine as one of the LGBT books changing the literary landscape. His new novel, The Guncle, arrives May 25th, 2021. Rowley’s fiction has been published in nineteen languages.

Lily and the Octopus is in development as a feature film at Amazon Studios. The Editor was optioned by Twentieth Century for director Greg Berlanti. Steven has worked as a freelance writer, newspaper columnist and screenwriter. Originally from Portland, Maine, he is a graduate of Emerson College. He currently resides in Palm Springs with his partner, the novelist Byron Lane.
