At any moment during daylight hours, more than 600,000 people are using a cell phone while driving, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. That’s about 1 in 10 drivers. It has led to more than 3,000 deaths attributed to distracted driving, according to National Occupants Protection Use surveys.
