Hawaii’s Keiki are growing up in a challenging world - that’s true now more than ever. Many are facing serious adversity at home, others may just need a little guidance. In this half hour special, we’ll tell the story of Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawai‘i supporting children ages 6-16 years old. These kids are matched with responsible adults and support by the organization and through this program, you’ll see just how much those very special relationships mean. Drastically improving the likelihood that child will graduate and live a happy healthy life. This show how their mentoring programs result in proven, positive short-term and long-term outcomes for youth in three main areas: educational success, avoidance of risky behaviors, and increased social and emotional well-being.

Big Brothers Big Sister, Defend, Inspire, & Empower with be produced by the multi-award winning Hawaii Stars production team lead by Carole Kai and Producer Dirk Fukushima. The show will be hosted and written by Hawaii News Now’s anchor Casey Lund. Casey along with his BBBS family will share their firsthand experience of being a Big Brother.
