OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES FOR DAVE TAPPAN’S QUARANTINE CUISINE COMPETITION

Here are the official rules for Dave Tappan’s Quarantine Cuisine Competition (“Contest”), being conducted by KHRD (hereafter referred to as “Station”) and its owner Results Radio LLC, starting April 1 and ending 11:59:59PM April 16 2020.

The Station may change the dates and/or terms, conditions, or rules of the Contest without prior notice.  Any material changes to the Contest or its Rules will be broadcast and posted on Red1031.com (hereafter “Station Website”). Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify the Contest as it deems necessary if it is not capable of completion as planned including, without limitation, as a result of infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, legal challenge or technical failures of any kind.   

The Station is not responsible for technological errors or failures of  phone, text, internet, websites, email, or computer systems related to execution of the Contest. 

WHO CAN ENTER (ELIGIBILITY)

The Contest is open to all US citizens who reside fulltime in Shasta County, and who are age 21 years or older  (“Contestant”).  

Current or former employees of Results Radio LLC, their immediate family members (including ex-spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, siblings, in-laws), individuals legally residing in the same household as current employees, Company affiliates, agents, successors, assignees, any promotional agency involved with this promotion,  current employees of other Radio stations in California and their family members, are NOT eligible to participate or win. 

Failure to comply with the Rules may result in a Contestant’s disqualification and forfeiture of the Prize. Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, and to disqualify that Contestant from entering or winning future contests.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Contest is void where prohibited by law. 

Contestants are required to provide truthful information to the Station on entry and during entire operation of the Contest. Station will disqualify any entry discovered to be based upon false or untruthful information. 

Contestants and Finalists who do not meet this Contest’s Eligibility requirements will be disqualified, and ineligible to become the contest winner.

By entering Contest, Contestants agree to indemnify this Station and Results Radio LLC from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from use of the prize or participation in this Contest.

By entering Contest, Contestants, Finalists, and Winners agree to allow use of their entry materials (including submitted image(s),  Name, written material, and Voice) in Station on-air, stream, social media, newsletter, website, or other Station publicity platforms.  

HOW TO ENTER

Listeners of the Station online stream may experience delays of broadcast content, and therefore may not be able to participate in or be disadvantaged in participating in certain contests. 

To enter as a Recipe Contestant, visit Station Website and complete required fields in the Contest entry form, including the submission of a jpeg or Instagram image of yourself cooking at home, and a recipe that includes the 3 ingredients of Peanut Butter, Flour, and Beer  (“Contestant Recipe”). Contestants may opt-in or opt-out to receive Station email newsletters or receive solicitations from Station and/or Station Sponsors.  

Recipe Contestants may enter the Contest 1 time.  Entry to this Contest is limited to 1 time per Household.

Entry period will end after the first 5 complete entries are received.   Dave Tappan (“Dave”) will prepare each of the 5 Contestant Recipes. Dave will follow each Contestant Recipe in good faith and to the best of his ability, and by entering, Contestant acknowledges that Dave’s implementation of the Contestant Recipe may render an outcome and appearance that varies from the Contestant’s intention.

Following Dave’s completion of each recipe,  Station Website will post a picture of each entry and invite Voter Contestants (“Voters”) to vote for their favorite. The Contestant Recipe with the most votes will be declared the Winning Contestant.

To enter as a Voter, visit Station Website and indicate your choice for favorite Recipe Contestant then fill out the voter entry form. Voters may vote as often as 1 time every 24 hours per Facebook account, during the voting period which ends April 16 11:59:59pm Contestants may opt-in or opt-out to receive Station email newsletters or receive solicitations from Station and/or Station Sponsors

Station Judges will be the sole interpreter of Contest rules.  All decisions by the Station Judges will be final. Entry into this Contest constitutes agreement by Entrant to abide by these rules.

THE PRIZE

The Prizes are:  

For the Winning Recipe Contestant: $103.00 check paid in the name of the Contestant.

For the Winning Voter Contestant:  A 12-roll package of toilet paper (retail value $12.00 on 3-26-2020) and $25.00 check (for purposes of purchasing a case of Corona Beer) for a Voter.  Voter prize value is $37.00

METHOD OF DETERMINING FINALIST(s) OR WINNER(s)

Going to the Station Website, Voters may vote as often as 1 time per day per email address, during the voting period which ends April 16 11:59:59pm. Winning Voter will be randomly drawn from all votes.

WINNER NOTIFICATION AND REDEMPTION OF PRIZE

Station will contact the Winning Recipe Contestant and Winning Voter  by their daytime telephone number indicated on their Contest entry on the first business day following the end of the Contest.  If the Winning Voter cannot be contacted after 5 attempts, the Station will redraw at random from all entries to secure an alternate Winning Voter, and continue until contact is successful with an alternate finalist.  When the Finalist confirms they meet Contest Eligibility, they will be confirmed as the Winner.  

Winner must appear and sign required affidavits and releases at Station offices or by a mutually agreeable correspondence and/or meeting location before May 15 5pm, or the Prize will be forfeited.  Advance appointment at mutually agreed day and time is required.  After signing affidavits and releases, the Prize will be awarded to the Winner within 30 days.

Prize cannot be awarded to third parties on behalf of the Winner.

Prize is non-transferable and may, at the discretion of the Station, be substituted for a prize of same or lesser value.

Winner will be required to fill out a W-9 form to claim Prize.  

Taxes are not included. Payment of taxes will be the legal responsibility of Winner.  

Station offices are closed on Legal Holidays. Station offices are open Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm at:

The winner will be required to present and report the following during the appointment:  

Current and valid government-issued photo identification
Personal social security number together
Household residence address
Date of birth
Phone number
Any and all info reported on the Content Entry form exactly matching the entry.
