The tornadoes that hit East Texas on April 29th left behind miles of devastation, with thousands of homes damaged and countless lives affected.  But now that the damage has been assessed, the hard work of rebuilding begins.

We want to help, and you can too.

Right now we're preparing a fundraising effort that will go live at 7pm on Sunday night.  We hope you'll come back then as we all come together as East Texans to help our neighbors.

The tornadoes that hit East Texas on April 29th left behind miles of devastation, with thousands of homes damaged and countless lives affected.  And now the hard work of rebuilding begins, and we want to help.  You can too!  Below, you'll find information on how to donate to the relief efforts fronted by both the Red Cross and the Van Zandt County Tornado Relief Fund.  The families left in the wake of these storms are going to need all of the help they can get, and no amount is too small to make a difference.

Immediately after the storms hit the Red Cross was on the ground in the affected areas, providing immediate shelter, food, and supplies.  But that's not all they do.  Once the need for short-term relief is over, it can take years for victims to rebuild their lives.  And the Red Cross provides for that too.  Whether it's lodging until a home can be rebuilt, clothes to replace those lost in the storm, or anything else in between.  Please click the link below to visit our Red Cross Donation Microsite and consider helping today.  And your donations have flexibility; you can give directly to the Texas Tornado Relief fund, or you can help ensure the Red Cross' immediate response in the next disaster, wherever it is.

 - Visit the Canton Branch of the First State Bank of Ben Wheeler at 17588 St Hwy 19 S.
Canton, TX 75103
 - Mail a check (payable to Van Zandt County Tornado Relief Fund) to PO Box 97, Ben Wheeler, TX 75754
