Announcing the Listeners' Choice Awards to celebrate the women in your life!

We're thrilled by the enthusiastic response we've gotten to our Women in the Red series on Radio Maisha - so we're launching a contest to recognize the amazing women leaders that YOU, our radio listeners and Facebook followers, know personally.

Beginning today, we invite you to do two things:

1. Submit stories of up to 200 words (and photos, if available) about a girl or woman you know who is a remarkable leader. Maybe she is working to improve her community. Maybe she is a great mentor or a business leader or a woman with extraordinary courage.

Post your story on Women In The Red Page or Radio Maisha Page and our Facebook followers will vote for their favorite every week.  We'll choose two winners a week who will receive a Women in the Red T-shirt and a live interview honoring their accomplishments during the Women in the Red show. Winners will also be entered into our Leadership Awards contest, which will honor the most remarkable women leaders across Kenya.

2. VOTE for your favorite woman leader of the week. Read about Margaret, Jane and Everlyn and cast your vote!
