Thai House & Sushi Bar

If you’re looking for authentic Thai food and fresh made sushi look no further. Thai House and Sushi bar has been a staple in downtown Florence for 6 years. Owner and chef Sompong was born in Thailand before moving to the united states 25 years ago. Only the freshest ingredients and authentic Thai spices and herbs are used.  Thai House is known for their Pad Thai, Curry and Tofu. They have an extensive menu with over 100 choices, fresh made to order sushi and many vegetarian options.

The Dispensary

Local Motive Brewing

Local Motive Brewing Company is excited to be part of Downtown Florence! We offer a comfortable atmosphere in which to enjoy a local brew and a simple menu. Part of the Kress Corner revitalization project, we are located at 121 and 123 North Dargan Street. We typically offer 12 unique brews on tap. Brewing on a compact three barrel system, the venue has the ability to brew smaller, more specific batches and offer a variety of styles. In addition, the food selection compliments the feel and intent of our space.

Top Hat- Special Teas

Top Hat Special-Teas is a great place to bring friends and family for a truly unique dining experience. Housed in Downtown Florence’s only hot pink building, Top Hat is filled to the brim with teapots and antique treasures to feast your eyes upon while dining. Top Hat is also Florence’s only full-service tea house, serving daily high tea and all of the traditional accompanying delights. Lunch is served daily with whimsical (and tasty) specials, and be sure to try the scones with house-made lemon curd and Devonshire cream—and did we mention all of the house-made specialty TEAS?! Top Hat is also available for catering and private parties.

King Jefe

Stop in at Downtown Florence’s only eclectic taqueria and margarita bar, which was opened in April 2017 by three gringos looking to serve up unique tacos and other taqueria-inspired fare. This little gem of a restaurant serves lunch and dinner and is proudly part of the Downcountry Dining Group which also owns Florence favorite, Tubb’s Seafood & Shrimp Co. and Sweet Cupcakes.

Dolce Vita

Enjoy the taste of fresh-brewed coffee, specialty café fare, fine wines, and chocolate at Dolce Vita in Downtown Florence. Recently re-located into a larger space on Restaurant Row, Dolce Vita has expanded its menu offerings to include artisan flatbread pizzas and specialty sandwiches during the lunch hour. Stop by each Wednesday for Wine Down Wednesdays with drink specials and live music. Don’t forget to check out the rotating local artworks hung throughout the restaurant. Dolce Vita is also home to Flo-Town Cold Brew coffee, the only locally-produced and bottled nitrogen-infused cold brew coffee! Take home a few bottles or a whole growler.

The menu changes with the seasons, and features a selection of starters and entrees with both familiar and unexpected ingredients, some of which are from our nearby family farm. Located in the historic Kress corner on West Evans and S. Dargan Street, Town Hall also offers an extensive list of American spirits, local beer, fine wines and well balanced cocktails. Town Hall is also home to Downtown Florence’s only rooftop bar, The Dispensary, open daily for cocktails and bar snacks. With incredible downtown views and a great list of hand-crafted cocktails, The Dispensary is a great place to unwind or meet up with friends. You may also find a local beer tasting, home-brew seminar, live music, or even yoga on the roof!

Soulé (So- Lay ) coffee + art/music space is a place built for the artists/innovators/visionaries/social leaders/teachers or patrons who feel that Florence is in need of something different.
